Vision Academy Charter School of Excellence

Vision Academy Charter School of Excellence (VACS of Excellence), located in Southeast Delaware County, Pennsylvania, is an emergent beacon for high-need students seeking a transformative educational experience. VACS of Excellence opened its doors in September 2024 to welcome 220 students, spanning kindergarten through fourth grade, with an eventual expansion to serve 360 students up to the eighth grade. This charter school is the fruit of extensive collaboration and engagement with diverse community leaders, educators, and stakeholders, aiming to provide an alternative educational pathway that values each family and child. The mission of VACS of Excellence is underpinned by a solid foundation of college and career readiness, direct instruction in the early grades, and the introduction of project-based and "flipped classroom" models in higher grades to foster autonomy, critical thinking, and collaboration.
